About us
GameBall Workshop can be largely attributed to my son, Peter, who began playing the game of baseball at the youthful age of four. Six years later, the game still brings joy to our lives every spring as we watch him swing for the fences and slide into home plate.
At the end of every season, his coaches have held a team party and always had something special to say about each player. Whether they led the team in RBI's, were a Gold Glove Outfielder, or simply The Most-Improved, each of them was special in their own way. Some years they were a top team and he has a trophy to commemorate that accomplishment, but other years they weren't in the top and a medal in participation seemed to diminish the fact that he stole 23 bases that year and hit his first over-the-fence home run.
It was those fading memories that became the spark for GameBall Workshop. I was looking for a way to turn those accomplishments into memories, whether his team came in first place or not. And, I wanted something to remind him of more than just what team he played on and what place they finished.
With a background in Engineering and passion for programming, I went to work. After countless hours designing, building, and testing a variety of ideas and prototypes. I finally mastered a way to create custom designs quickly and efficiently. The first batch went to his team that year to the delight of the boys and their parents alike.
Shortly thereafter, I opened a shop on Etsy and discovered there was not only a market for baseball teams and coaches, but for birthday parties, weddings, Christmas, and even Valentine's Day. Almost every week I am surprised by someone who wants a special message printed on a baseball for their special event or to commemorate a special moment.
Today GameBall Workshop is a home-based business operating largely from my home office, garage, and to the displeasure of my wife, often the kitchen table. We strive to bring customization at value, with fast turn-around and exceptional customer service.
